what's new

An expanded camp program.

MYO is excited to share an expanded camp program this year. After years of growth in both our campers and our Leadership-in-Training (LIT) participants, we're introducing a new structure designed to serve each age group and open more doors for youth to participate.

Instead of a single camp week, we're offering a dedicated LIT camp, a dedicated youth camp, and specialty outdoor skills weekends through the fall — focused programs across the summer and fall, not everything packed into one week.

For many years, camp meant one weeklong session at Camp Smitty. This year we're piloting a new format with multiple focused programs — more ways to show up, and more room for leadership to grow.

summer 2026

Two focused four-day sessions.

Instead of one full week, we're running two shorter sessions at Camp Smitty — a dedicated LIT track, then the main camp. Staff arrive wednesday at 6pm before each session.

Jul 23–26

LIT leadership track

Ages 17–19. Lighter logistics, more responsibility — meals, activity planning, and waking yourselves up. Some LITs may graduate into counsellor roles for main camp.

Aug 6–9

Main camp · core program

Ages 9–16. The full MYO camp experience — cabins, skills stations, prayer, and fire circles — in a focused four-day session.

We may also run meetups, hikes, or a dedicated archery weekend in October before and after camp — see the MYO events list for dates as they're confirmed.
